A bigger splash

Denplan has made quite a splash since its launch in 1986. It has revolutionised the way dental care can be funded and the support that is available to practices. Now an established name amongst the dental profession, Denplan Ltd. was created by dentists for dentists without the burdens of NHS administration, without prior approval and without dictating prices.

By providing the right support and services, Denplan Care has helped practioners regain the freedom to set their own fees, the freedom to build on a predictable income and the freedom to focus on a preventive care programme.

Based at Denplan Court, in Winchester, Denplan is the UK's leading independent health plan provider. Through its commitment to the profession Denplan has become the market leader in independent capitation plans with a market share of over 80%. Around a third of the UK dental profession are members of Denplan Care and there are now nearly one million Denplan Care registered patients.

Denplan is as committed to both dentistry today and dentistry tomorrow. To this end, it has continually supported the independent think tank, Demos, to look at where the profession could find itself in the coming decades. By knowing what could happen, practioners have the freedom to influence and plan for which option would be best for their practices in the future.

With the introduction of the pilot Denplan Excel Accreditation programme, Denplan is now helping Denplan dentists provide a new benchmark in dental care.

Finally, Denplan has been awarded Investors in People and is a National Training Award winner. The company is part of the PPP healthcare group, which is a member of the Global AXA Group.
